Sophia Child Development Testimony

This is Devdas (7 years), a child of our project who comes from the nearby slums. Recently his alcoholic father was jailed for brutally killing his 5 year old sister. Devdas along with his 2 other sisters are left with their mother who is a daily wage laborer. It’s almost next to impossible for the mother to look after the three young children. This project is a great help for the family as it lessened their burden.

Devdas says, “I love my mother and my sisters Divya and Poni. For them I want to study hard and become a police officer and keep them safe”

Donu Lakshmi Testimony

This is Donu Laxmi. She is into this project for the last 22 years. At a very young age she was infected with leprosy and both her legs were amputated. Her family abandoned her and GTM has cared and provided for her.

Donu Laxmi says, “I always look forward for their visit as they cheer me up and make me feel loved.”

Dorcas Widows Project Testimonies

This is Manemma, a widow from Chittiyala. Her husband passed away at a very young age and was survived by her only son who commited suicide due to familial pressures. She is left alone to take care of herself and her widowed daughter in law. GT has adopted this family making a difference in their lives. Mannemma says, ” When Life seemed bleak, GT gave a hope to our future.”

This is Jayamma from Wanaparthy. When she was very young she lost her eyesight permanently due to a rare disease and is a diabetic. Her husband, Zachaiah is mentally retarded and lives aloof from the family. She takes care of her two little kids. GT has been faithfully supporting this family for the last decade.Jayamma says, ”I was clueless and lost. GT has helped me find my way and I’m ever grateful.”
